Construction Field Technician

What are we looking for in our Field Technician? Our client, a premier system's integration company, is currently looking for a Tower Technician to work out of their Pine Brook, NJ location.
They support all aspects of tower installations, including all antennas and transmission lines associated with utility companies and public safety.
They perform construction duties on a daily basis ensuring quality construction from the foundation to erection of lattice towers, monopoles, and guyed towers.

The Technician is also responsible for understanding and maintaining processes and procedures that will drive profitability and enhance company margins.
JOB
Responsibilities:
Following all company, industry, and federal safety regulations (100% tie off, etc) Knowledge and experience of major carrier sites including LTE, NSB, Electrical, Civil, DAS, and/or Small Cell Work as a part of a team with the ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships/communication within a small group of co-workers The ability to prioritize tasks while rationally considering the outcomes of key decisions.
Installation of RF and antenna system components such as BTS, RRU's, antennas, TMA's, diplexers, COAX, grounding, supports, weatherproofing, connectors, hardware, etc.
Identify essential materials and tools to carry out scope of work according to client and industry methods of procedures (MOP) Ability to operate tools of trade (hand and power tools and test gear, path boxes) Prioritize and organize work to maximize time efficiency with given deadlines Read, implement and redline site CDs.
Perform Job Safety Analysis, promote team safety and proper PPE with risk mitigation Computer skills (working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook) Must be able to work at various heights Willingness to travel throughout the week, although we focus on keeping people close to home for weekends A creative and innovative thinker to bring successful resolution to customer and personnel issues.

Qualifications:
Requires high school diploma or GED plus vocational or technical training after high school Requires a minimum of two years of progressive experience in related trade resulting in journeyman level expertise.
Experience as a tower top hand technician in the private/public sector or industry is strongly preferred Possess three years' experience as a tower technician working on all structures such as monopole, self-standing, guyed towers, and roof tops.
Experience should include microwave antenna and line new installation and upgrades (decommissioning) Basic writing and computer skills.
Ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to perform math computations as related to trade and moderate ability to read blue prints and schematics; basic understanding of qualitative and quantitative circuit analysis.
Knowledge and skill, at journeyman level, in the use of hand and power tools, analog/digital test equipment, man lifts, RF testing devices, and ladders.
Required to work overtime on both a scheduled and an emergency basis.
Subject to after-hours recall.
OSHA 10/30, RF Technician Awareness Certification, CPR/First Aid, and Competent Climber & Rescue certifications strongly preferred #CB#LI-BA1 Rate/Salary:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
